Headline: "Foreign Producer Prices Decline Monthly for the First Time in 14 Months"
In November, foreign producer prices showed a decline on a monthly basis for the first time in 14 months. According to a statement by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the Foreign Producer Price Index (YD-ÜFE) decreased by 0.86% compared to the previous month, increased by 22.39% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 25.19% compared to the same month of the previous year, and showed a 44.56% increase based on twelve-month averages.
The YD-ÜFE for manufacturing products increased by 25.21% year-on-year. The annual changes in the two sectors of industry were as follows: a 24.18% increase in mining and quarrying, and a 25.21% increase in manufacturing.
The annual changes in the main industrial groups were as follows: a 22.99% increase in intermediate goods, a 30.39% increase in durable consumer goods, a 25.44% increase in non-durable consumer goods, a 4.19% increase in energy, and a 31.18% increase in capital goods.
The YD-ÜFE for manufacturing products decreased by 0.82% month-on-month. The monthly changes in the two sectors of industry were as follows: a 3.01% decrease in mining and quarrying, and a 0.82% decrease in manufacturing.
The monthly changes in the main industrial groups were as follows: a 0.85% decrease in intermediate goods, a 0.29% decrease in durable consumer goods, a 0.15% decrease in non-durable consumer goods, a 1.91% decrease in energy, and a 1.49% decrease in capital goods.
