In November, 188,966 Vehicles Registered for Traffic

In November, 44.9% of the vehicles registered were cars, 38.9% were motorcycles, 10.3% were light trucks, 3.1% were tractors, 1.5% were trucks, 0.8% were minibuses, 0.4% were buses, and 0.1% were special-purpose vehicles. According to the announcement made by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of vehicles registered decreased by 9.8% compared to the previous month.

In November, the number of vehicles registered saw an increase compared to the previous month: special-purpose vehicles increased by 51.8%, light trucks by 14.1%, cars by 13.7%, minibuses by 5.8%, and tractors by 0.5%. Conversely, motorcycles decreased by 31.1%, buses by 5.5%, and trucks by 1.1%.

The number of vehicles registered increased by 3.7% compared to the same month last year. In November, the registration number compared to the same month last year rose by 47.3% for minibuses, 35.8% for special-purpose vehicles, 18.7% for light trucks, and 8.9% for motorcycles; however, it decreased by 17.5% for tractors, 17.1% for trucks, 8.1% for buses, and 1.3% for cars.

As of the end of November, the total number of registered vehicles stands at 31 million 67 thousand 698. As of the end of November, 51.9% of registered vehicles were cars, 19.8% were motorcycles, 15.1% were light trucks, 7.3% were tractors, 3.2% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.7% were buses, and 0.3% were special-purpose vehicles.

In November, 917,715 vehicles were transferred. Among the transferred vehicles, 68.7% were cars, 15.4% were light trucks, 8.2% were motorcycles, 3.2% were tractors, 2.1% were trucks, 1.7% were minibuses, 0.5% were buses, and 0.2% were special-purpose vehicles.

In November, 84,846 cars were registered. Among the cars registered, 13.3% were Renault, 8.3% were Volkswagen, 7.4% were Hyundai, 7.1% were Fiat, 5.3% were Peugeot, 5.2% were Skoda, 5.1% were Toyota, 4.6% were Opel, 4.1% were BMW, 3.9% were Mercedes-Benz, 3.3% were Citroen, 3.0% were Nissan, 2.8% were Seat, 2.5% were Kia, 2.3% were Dacia, 2.3% were Audi, 2.2% were Ford (IS:FROTO), 2.1% were Chery, 1.5% were Honda, 1.3% were Cupra, and 12.5% were from other brands.

From January to November, the number of registered vehicles was 2,359,823. During this period, the number of vehicles registered increased by 12.9% compared to the same period last year, while the number of vehicles deregistered increased by 12.2% to 31,250. Thus, there was an increase of 2,328,573 in the total number of vehicles on the road during this period.

Regarding registered and deregistered motor vehicles, as of November 2024, during the January to November period, 61.9% of the registered cars were gasoline-fueled. Out of the 906,077 cars registered, 61.9% were fueled by gasoline, 15.8% were hybrid, 11.7% were diesel, 9.5% were electric, and 1.1% were LPG-fueled. As of the end of November, out of the 16,122,636 registered cars, 34.3% were diesel, 32.0% were LPG, 30.1% were gasoline, 2.3% were hybrid, and 1.0% were electric. The proportion of cars with unknown fuel types is 0.2%.

In terms of the distribution of registered cars by engine size from January to November, 32.9% of the 906,077 registered cars had an engine capacity of 1300cc and below, 22.4% were 1401-1500cc, 15.7% were 1301-1400cc, 12.5% were 1501-1600cc, 6.4% were 1601-2000cc, and 0.7% had an engine capacity of 2001cc and above.

Additionally, out of the registered cars, 350,011 were gray in color. From January to November, among the 906,077 cars registered, 38.6% were gray, 26.1% were white, 13.0% were black, 11.2% were blue, 5.7% were red, 3.0% were green, 0.8% were yellow, 0.8% were orange, 0.5% were brown, and 0.4% were of other colors.
