Trump's Ukraine Ambassador to Visit Kyiv and European Capitals in January - Reuters

Investing.com -- According to sources familiar with the trip's planning, Donald Trump’s appointed ambassadors for Ukraine and Russia, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, is preparing to visit Kiev and several other European capitals in early January.

Kellogg will meet with top leaders in Kiev. Additionally, his team is working to arrange meetings with leaders in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris. However, according to one source, the trip's schedule has not yet been finalized and may change. Kellogg does not plan to visit Moscow during this trip.

The purpose of these meetings is to gather information on behalf of the incoming Trump administration rather than to engage in active negotiations. These plans underscore President-elect Trump's priority to address the ongoing war in Ukraine.
