The Emmy® and BAFTA award-winning show currently ranks as the most-watched series of 2024. The film will be written and directed by Joe Brumm, the creator of Bluey. It is a production produced in collaboration with Ludo Studio and BBC Studios. The film promises to deliver the same charm and humor that made the television series a global phenomenon, continuing to tell the adventures of the adorable, endlessly energetic blue heeler Bluey and her family.
Joe Brumm expressed his excitement for the project, noting that he enjoyed working in a longer format during the show's third season and considers a feature film to be a natural progression. He looks forward to continuing to work with the teams at BBC Studios and Disney.

Ludo Studio’s Co-Founders and Directors Daley Pearson and Charlie Aspinwall shared their enthusiasm for bringing the world of Bluey to the big screen. They thanked the artistic and production team for making Bluey the beloved series it is today.
The film will feature the voice cast from the hit series, including Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack, who voice Bluey’s parents Chilli and Bandit Heeler. The film's music will be created by Joff Bush, the composer for Bluey.
The CG animated film is produced by award-winning animation producer Amber Naismith, with Richard Jeffery returning as co-director. Joe Brumm serves as executive producer alongside Charlie Aspinwall and Daley Pearson from Ludo Studio and Justine Flynn for BBC Studios. For Disney, the film will be overseen by David Greenbaum and his team at Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios.
BBC Studios is providing financing for the film and licensing it for distribution. Post-production funding comes from the Australian government’s Producer Offset and through Screen Australia, as well as from Screen Queensland's Post, Digital and Visual Effects Incentive from the Queensland Government.
Following its global theatrical release, Disney will stream the Bluey film on Disney+. The film will also be available for viewing on ABC iView and ABC Kids in Australia after its theatrical run.
