Borsa İstanbul Continues Its Downward Trend in a Sideways Movement
The BIST 100 index continued its downward trend during intraday trading but partially recovered in the last hour to remain flat.
After starting at 9,640 points in a horizontal manner, the BIST 100 index fluctuated around this level during the morning session. In afternoon trading, the index declined to 9,586 points, where it saw some buying reactions. As the last hour approached, the BIST 100 moved back toward the 9,600 range and is currently down by 0.2%. After the release of today's monetary policy committee meeting summary, selling accelerated in the BIST 100, with the market now focused on the November inflation data to be announced next week. There is also a balance in the sectoral basis of the stock market. The sectors that have pulled the index down today include small and medium-sized enterprises, transportation, and tourism, all declining around 2%. Meanwhile, technology, banking, and metals sectors, which have seen increases of around 1% in the last hour, continue to be in high demand.

In the domestic foreign exchange market today, the dollar/TL remains flat at 34.6, the euro/TL is down by 0.1% to 36.46, and gold in grams trades at 2,945 TL, down by half a point. Meanwhile, while U.S. markets are closed today, European indices are showing some buying activity.
