ICE plans to launch derivatives of battery metals this year.

Foreks reports that the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) plans to launch battery metals, including nickel, cobalt, and lithium spodumene derivatives, in London this year.

During his speech at the FT Global Commodities Summit held in Lausanne, Switzerland, ICE Futures Europe President Chris Rhodes stated, "Our customer base expects us to offer products for hedging." Rhodes added, "ICE is planning to introduce battery raw materials this year, with lithium, cobalt, and spodumene being the starting point."
