Minister Tunç: "The call for a boycott is a very dangerous and incorrect approach."

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç criticized the boycott call made by the leader of the Republican People's Party (CHP), Özgür Özel. Minister Tunç stated that such calls could harm the economy. He made significant remarks during a tree-planting ceremony for the Justice Forest established in memory of martyr prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz, asserting that the boycott call could pose a dangerous threat to the country's economic stability.

In his speech, Tunç also addressed recent criticisms of the Turkish judiciary, highlighting the risks of statements aimed at undermining public order and targeting security forces. He emphasized the unacceptable nature of attacks on press freedom, stating that using provocative language against brands contributing to the country's growth could have dangerous consequences. Tunç reaffirmed the independence and accountability of the Turkish judiciary, asserting that it would continue to uphold its impartiality.
