BIST 100 Starts the Day Flat: Which Stocks Gained Attention at Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the day with a change of +0.09%, at 9,962.85 points. While the BIST 100 recorded a decline of 1.13% in the previous day's trading, it closed at 9,972.03 points. The index, which reached a high of 10,095 points during the day, finished at its lowest level of 9,972.03 points.

In the BIST 100, 31 stocks rose while 68 stocks lost value yesterday. The total trading volume of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index amounted to 94.4 billion TL, accounting for 71.8% of the total volume.

In the initial trades of Borsa Istanbul, a sideways trend continued, while the communication, sports, and SME indices experienced partial increases. Technology, transportation, and insurance sectors were the most affected with declines in the first hour.

Across Borsa Istanbul, AVHOL, SAMAT, and RTALB were among the highest gainers in the initial trades. RNPOL, TBORG, and HEDEF stocks were at the forefront of those that started the day with declines.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL is trading at 35.36 with a partial increase of 0.1%. Euro/TL is near an increase of 0.2% at 36.62, while gram gold has seen a similar appreciation, finding buyers at 3,017 TL.

In global markets, Asian indices closed the day with a mixed outlook. While U.S. indices suffered sharp declines in yesterday's trading, European stock markets moved positively. In the morning hours, U.S. futures turned positive while European futures were seen moving in the negative direction.
