Foreks - Schneider Electric and Şekerbank (IS:SKBNK) have signed a cooperation protocol that encompasses the financing of energy efficiency and renewable energy investments.

Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has established an important partnership with Şekerbank, the first bank in Turkey to offer energy efficiency financing products. This collaboration will support companies in Turkey's energy transition processes by providing sustainability-focused solutions such as energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Elçin Ersu, Deputy General Manager of Schneider Electric Services Business Unit, and Özlem Selçuk Erkan, Deputy General Manager responsible for Corporate and Commercial Banking at Şekerbank.

This protocol combines Schneider Electric's technical expertise with Şekerbank's financial experience in financing energy efficiency and renewable energy investments for organized industrial zones, factories, data centers, hotels, hospitals, and other end users. In this way, financial and technical solutions essential for companies will be provided in accordance with sustainable development goals.

With this collaboration, there is a goal to produce innovative solutions for the energy crisis during a time when industrial energy consumption is rapidly increasing. The technical and financial support required by companies in sustainability processes will be facilitated through this agreement. The initiatives to be implemented within the framework of this partnership will make a significant contribution to Turkey's carbon footprint reduction targets set under the Paris Agreement.

Elçin Ersu stated, “We are combining our years of expertise and experience with Şekerbank's financial expertise.” He emphasized the vital role of the business world in combating climate change and energy crises, describing this partnership as an important step toward contributing to a sustainable future.

Özlem Selçuk Erkan underscored that this partnership offers a significant opportunity to fulfill environmental responsibilities. “As Şekerbank, we are taking important steps to reduce our country's carbon footprint and increase energy efficiency by placing sustainability and environmental sensitivity at the center of our business model. This collaboration with Schneider Electric provides an opportunity not only for economic growth but also to address our environmental responsibilities. Our aim is to contribute to Turkey's sustainable development goals by supporting energy efficiency and renewable energy investments,” she added.
