Japan's Antitrust Watchdog to Rule on Google's Search Practices Violation

According to a report based on sources by Nikkei Asia on Sunday, Japan's competition watchdog, the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC), is expected to find Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL) guilty of violating the country's antitrust laws. The report indicates that the JFTC will soon issue a cease-and-desist order demanding Google to stop its monopolistic practices. The JFTC began its investigation into Google last October, following similar actions taken by authorities in Europe and other major economies, citing violations of antitrust laws in web search services.
