Kinder Morgan's Subsidiary Advances $1.4 Billion Mississippi Crossing Project

Kinder Morgan's Tennessee Gas Pipeline (TGP) has confirmed its decision to advance the Mississippi Crossing Project (MSX Project). This decision follows the company's signing of long-term, binding transportation agreements with customers for the project's full capacity. The MSX Project, estimated to cost approximately $1.4 billion, aims to transport 1.5 billion cubic feet (Bcf/d) of natural gas daily. The project involves the construction of around 206 miles (331.5 km) of pipeline with diameters of 42 inches and 36 inches, along with the establishment of two new compressor stations. The pipeline route will begin near Greenville in the state of Mississippi and end near Butler in the state of Alabama. The line will connect to TGP's existing system and other third-party pipelines. The project is slated to become operational by November 2028.
