U.S. Weekly Coal Production Sees Increase
Forex - The United States experienced a weekly increase in coal production. According to data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), coal production rose by 6.1% to 10.4 million tons in the week ending December 14. However, coal production declined by 3.5% year-on-year. East of the Mississippi River, production was 4.7 million tons, while west of the river, it reached 5.8 million tons. Since the start of the year, production has decreased by 11.8% to 488.8 million tons.
