"Environmental Impact Assessment Process Begins for BOTAŞ's Tuz Lake Natural Gas Underground Storage Capacity Expansion Phase 3 Project"
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process has commenced for the Tuz Gölü Natural Gas Underground Storage Capacity Improvement Phase 3 project planned by the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAŞ).
In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment, Permission and Supervision, the following information was provided: "The EIA application file submitted to our Ministry regarding the Tuz Gölü Natural Gas Underground Storage Capacity Improvement Phase 3 project planned to be carried out by the Petroleum Pipeline Corporation in the Sultanhanı district of Aksaray province has been reviewed in accordance with Article 8 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation. It has been determined that the application was prepared in conformity with the EIA General Format, and the EIA process for the project has been initiated. Until the completion of the Environmental Impact Assessment process, all kinds of information related to the process, as well as opinions, questions, and suggestions regarding the project, can be sent to the Aksaray Governorship (Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Provincial Directorate) or the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change."
