Inflation in the UK Rises in Line with Expectations
Forex - In the UK, inflation rose in November in line with expectations. Consumer prices increased by 0.1% compared to the previous month and by 2.6% compared to the same period last year. The expectation was for prices to rise by 0.2% month-on-month and by 2.6% year-on-year. In October, consumer inflation had increased by 2.3% annually. Core consumer prices remained unchanged compared to the previous month and were maintained at 1.6% on an annual basis. In November, producer input prices were 1.6% year-on-year, while producer output prices increased by 0.3% compared to the previous month but fell by 0.6% year-on-year.
