At a ceremony held at Borsa Istanbul, one of the important players in the glass industry, Çağdaş Cam, has begun trading on the Main Market. Completing its initial public offering with intense interest from investors, Çağdaş Cam stands out as one of the largest companies in Europe in terms of glass processing capacity. The gong ceremony, attended by Borsa Istanbul A.Ş. General Manager Korkmaz Ergun and senior executives of Çağdaş Cam, marked its debut under the code CGCAM. In his speech at the gong ceremony, Borsa Istanbul General Manager Korkmaz Ergun stated, "Çağdaş Cam is a valuable producer providing significant inputs to various industries. We are happy that it has begun trading on our exchange through its IPO. I would like to thank those behind this process and wish the company success in its investments." It was emphasized that this step would play an important role in advancing Çağdaş Cam’s investment objectives and that capital markets contribute to the growth of industrialists. Objectives and contributions of Çağdaş Cam Çağdaş Cam Board Member Serdar Raşit Pirinç noted, "In this journey that began nearly half a century ago, we have reached one of the largest glass processing capacities in Europe." Pointing out that they bring innovations to the glass industry as a design center owner, Pirinç highlighted that their facility processing energy glasses in Manisa is a strategic investment. This investment aims to reduce imports, contribute to decreasing the current account deficit, and bring foreign exchange inflow to the country’s economy through exports. Pirinç believes that the IPO is a significant milestone on the way to making Çağdaş Cam one of the leading glass processors. He stated that they plan to achieve their goals quickly with the support of their new shareholders, expressing that this process will create value for both the national economy and stakeholders. Processing various types of glass in its facilities in Manisa, Aydın, and Nazilli, Çağdaş Cam aims to be an important player in the global glass supply chain. Deniz Investment stated that it is pleased to have supported Çağdaş Cam's entry into the stock market and believes this collaboration will enable Çağdaş Cam to grow faster. Akosman expressed his belief that the completion of the 27th IPO transaction they conducted would increase the investment momentum in capital markets and turn Çağdaş Cam into a global player. CGCAM started its first trading day at the ceiling price CGCAM became the first company to go public at Borsa Istanbul after approximately two months. After its shares were offered for sale at a fixed price of 20 TL during the IPO, they reached the level of 22 TL with the commencement of trading today. Other companies that went public at Borsa Istanbul last week, such as Sümer Asset Management, will begin trading tomorrow.
