The BIST 100 recorded a decline of 1.26% in yesterday's transactions, closing just below 10,000 points. During the day, the index hit a low of 9,997.66 and a high of 10,157.77 points, while it stands at 285 dollars in dollar terms. The trading volume of the index remained below average at 69.4 billion dollars yesterday, constituting 64.5% of the total volume.
While the positive outlook continued in the initial trades at the BIST, sectors such as information technology and banking led the day with buying interest. Sports, textiles, and tourism were the leading sectors with the most declines at the opening. In the domestic currency market, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.98, up by 0.1%. The euro/TL is at 36.76, showing an approximately 0.2% increase, while the gram gold is moving sideways at 2,986 TL this morning.
In international markets, Asian indices appeared to be predominantly in decline in the morning. Yesterday, while European stocks fell, U.S. indices, except for the Dow Jones, showed gains. This morning, it was observed that U.S. futures were trading in a bearish manner alongside European futures.
