BIST 100 Kicks Off the Week with a Decline: Which Stocks Stood Out Today?
The BIST 100 index started the day with partial gains but traded with a selling trend throughout the day. The BIST 100 increased to 10,157 points during the morning session but dropped to 10,025 points due to selling pressures. As the session approached its close, the index was moving in the range of 10,050 points with a 0.7% decrease. The decline was sharper in the BIST 30 index, approaching 1%. Meanwhile, the index outside of the BIST 100 showed a positive divergence with a half-point increase.
Today, sector-wise, sports, tourism, and electricity were the top gainers in Borsa Istanbul. Conversely, sectors such as trade, textile, holding, banking, and insurance moved negatively, pulling down the index.

In Borsa Istanbul overall, ANELE, YBTAS, and CEOEM were the highest gaining stocks, while ETILR, SUNTK, and SNICA stocks ranked as the biggest losers as the session neared its close.
In the domestic forex market, the dollar/TL is trading at 34.95, up by 0.1%. Euro/TL is flat at the 36.7 level, while gram gold is moving around 2,990 TL with a 0.4% increase.
In international markets, Asian indices started the week with selling pressure, while a decline was predominant across Europe. In contrast, US indices began the day with gains.
