Competition Authority to Hold Oral Defense Meeting on Meram Electricity Investigation on January 14

The Competition Authority announced that the oral defense meeting regarding the investigation into Meram Electricity Distribution Inc. will be held on January 14, 2025.

The statement said: "The investigation into Meram Electricity Distribution Inc. for allegedly acting discriminatorily in the evaluation of applications for unlicensed electricity production and violating Article 6 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition has reached the oral defense phase. The oral defense meeting in question will take place on January 14, 2025, at 10:30 AM.

Complaints and third parties wishing to participate and speak at the meeting must apply to the Competition Authority with a petition containing information and documents related to their interests concerning the meeting topic by the end of working hours on January 7, 2025, in accordance with the 'Communiqué on Oral Defense Meetings Held Before the Competition Authority.'

Those who wish to attend the oral defense meeting as listeners will be able to follow the meeting online. For this purpose, they must fill out the participation form at least half an hour before the meeting time, following the guidelines provided on the Competition Authority's website."
