"We strongly condemn Israel's decision to expand illegal settlements in the Golan Heights, which it has occupied since 1967. This decision is a new phase in Israel's goal to expand its borders through occupation.

Israel's step is extremely concerning, especially when considered in conjunction with its entry into the disengagement zone between Israel and Syria in violation of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement, its advancements in adjacent areas, and its airstrikes against Syria.

Israel's ongoing actions seriously undermine efforts to establish peace and stability in Syria and further escalate tensions in the region. The international community must respond appropriately to Israel and ensure that the Netanyahu government brings an end to its illegal activities."
