MARKET OUTLOOK - Concerns Over the Unsustainability of U.S. Fiscal Health May Be Unwarranted

According to the investment managers of the Jupiter Strategic Absolute Return Fund, concerns regarding the unsustainability of the U.S. government's financial situation and its ability to pay off its debts appear to be unfounded. The managers stated, "We believe these concerns are misplaced as U.S. Treasury bonds are issued in the local currency, the dollar." They also assessed that the Fed may resort to quantitative easing if necessary to lower yields, noting that the current market sentiment indicates an increase in budget deficit under the Trump administration, although not much can be said at this point.
