Ministry of Foreign Affairs Strongly Condemns Israel's Decision to Expand Illegal Settlements in the Golan Heights
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs vehemently condemned Israel's decision to expand illegal settlements in the Golan Heights, which has been under occupation since 1967.
In a statement, it was noted that this decision represents a new phase in Israel's goal to expand its borders through occupation. The statement read as follows:
"This step taken by Israel is extremely concerning when considered alongside its entry into the demilitarized zone between Israel and Syria in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement, its advances into surrounding areas, and airstrikes against Syria.
Israel's ongoing actions seriously undermine efforts to establish peace and stability in Syria and further escalate tensions in the region. The international community must respond appropriately to Israel and ensure that the Netanyahu government’s illegal activities come to an end."
