In November, Agricultural Producer Prices Increased by 8.88% Compared to the Previous Month

In November 2024, the Agricultural Producer Price Index (Agricultural-PPI) based on 2020=100 showed an increase of 8.88% compared to the previous month, a rise of 37.55% compared to December of the previous year, an increase of 46.91% compared to the same month of the previous year, and a 12-month average increase of 48.83%.

According to the statement, month-over-month changes in sectors revealed a 9.35% increase in agriculture and hunting products and related services, a 1.59% increase in forestry products and related services, and a 1.70% increase in fish and other fishing products; aquatic products; and supportive services for fishing.

In major groups, there was a 19.49% increase in annual (non-perennial) plant products, a 4.91% increase in perennial (long-lived) plant products, and a 2.93% increase in live animals and animal products.

The subgroup with the highest annual change was citrus fruits with an increase of 263.86%, while the subgroup with the highest monthly change was vegetables and melons-watermelons, roots, and tubers with an increase of 43.95%.
