Service Production Index Declines by 2.0% Year-on-Year

In October, the services production index decreased by 2.0% year-on-year. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the services production index (2021=100) fell by 2.0% in October 2024 compared to the same month the previous year. In the same month, transportation and storage services decreased by 4.6%, accommodation and food services increased by 4.0%, information and communication services decreased by 3.2%, real estate services increased by 5.2%, professional, scientific, and technical services decreased by 9.5%, while administrative and support services increased by 2.8%.

The services production index rose by 0.2% month-on-month. The services production index (2021=100) increased by 0.2% in October 2024 compared to the previous month. In the same month, transportation and storage services increased by 0.1%, accommodation and food services increased by 1.1%, information and communication services decreased by 2.5%, real estate services decreased by 2.8%, professional, scientific, and technical services increased by 1.8%, while administrative and support services increased by 1.3%.
