Dr. Shoujiang Wang Appointed as CEO of ICBC Turkey
Foreks - Dr. Shoujiang Wang has been appointed as the General Manager of ICBC Turkey, the Turkish subsidiary of one of the world's largest banks, ICBC. With over nine years in its operations in Turkey and a reputation for pioneering innovative models in Turkey-China financial relations, ICBC Turkey (IS:ICBCT) has undergone a management change. Dr. Shoujiang Wang has taken on the role of General Manager of the bank, effective from December 10, 2024.
Dr. Shoujiang Wang completed his Ph.D. in Accounting at Renmin University of China and earned a master's degree in Accounting from Beijing Technology and Business University. He began his career at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in 2000, taking on various roles in the Head Office Accounting Department, Corporate Banking Department, and ICBC Shenzhen Branch. In 2015, Dr. Wang joined ICBC Standard Bank PLC as Executive Director and ExCo Member, where he held positions as Head of Investment Banking, Marketing Director, and Deputy General Manager responsible for Finance, IT, Operations, and Risk Management. He is also a CFA charterholder, and on December 10, 2024, he assumed the roles of General Manager of ICBC Turkey Bank A.Ş., Vice Chairman of the Credit Committee, and member of the Board's Risk Management Committee.
New Appointments in the Board of Directors Additionally, new appointments have been made within ICBC Turkey's Board of Directors, including memberships in the Credit Committee and the Board Risk Management Committee. Qian Hou has been appointed as the Chairman of the Credit Committee, while Shoujiang Wang has taken on the Vice Chairmanship. Li Xiao will serve as a committee member, and Ruiming Hao and Xin Zheng have been designated as alternate members. In the Board Risk Management Committee, Qian Hou will serve as chairman, with Shoujiang Wang, Li Xiao, Xin Zheng, and Ruiming Hao as committee members.
