The EIA Report for Aksa Renewable Energy's Balıkesir Storage Wind Farm Project is Now Open for Comments
The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report regarding the planned Balıkesir Storage Wind Power Plant project by Aksa Renewable Energy has been opened for public consultation. An announcement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permission and Supervision provided the following information:
"The EIA report prepared for the Balıkesir Storage (118.04 MWh/118.04 MWe) Wind Power Plant (comprising 43 turbines with a total installed capacity of 152.94 MWm/118.04 MWe), planned to be constructed by Aksa (IS:AKSA) Renewable Energy Production Inc. in the Savaştepe, Altıeylül district of Balıkesir province, has been reviewed and finalized by the Review and Evaluation Commission (İDK). The report is now open for public comments and suggestions for a period of ten (10) calendar days in accordance with Article 14(1) of the EIA Regulation, at the Ministry and the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. The opinions submitted to the Ministry/Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change will be considered in the decision-making process regarding the project. During this process, opinions and suggestions can be submitted to the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change or the Provincial Directorates of Environment and Urbanization in BALIKESIR."
