Affirm Stocks Spotlight CFO's Interview
Investors are closely monitoring Affirm Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AFRM) as the company's Chief Financial Officer, Rob O'Hare, is set to participate in an interview today. The event, hosted by Deutsche Bank analyst Bryan Keane, will begin at 11:00 AM Eastern Time and is expected to cover topics such as the company’s strategic direction, product offerings, business model, and financial performance.
The live stream of the interview will be accessible via Affirm's investor relations website, allowing shareholders to listen to the discussion. Management will also have the opportunity to answer some of the most pressing questions submitted by both individual and institutional shareholders.
In related news, Affirm's stock was positively reassessed on Thursday by Mizuho analyst Dan Dolev following a comparative analysis with Klarna, which operates in the digital payments space and is approaching an IPO. Dolev's findings highlighted several important points:
Although Affirm's Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) is only a quarter of Klarna's, its revenues are comparable, indicating that Affirm is closing the gap. Affirm's growth rate is approximately twice that of Klarna. The focus on interest-generating loans, which constitute around 75% of Affirm's GMV, contrasts with Klarna's emphasis on "Pay in X Installments" options, which are estimated to make up more than 80% of Klarna's GMV. This strategy results in Affirm having four times the gross and net purchase rates. Affirm's year-to-date adjusted operating margin is around 19%, more than double Klarna's 8%.
Based on these insights and the increasing earnings potential stemming from international expansion, Dolev raised the price target for Affirm from the previous 69₺ to 78₺. This adjustment reflects a more optimistic outlook on the company's financial growth.
