Vinci Venture Capital Invests in Perciv AI, a Developer of Artificial Intelligence for Autonomous Systems
Foreks - Vinci Venture Capital, in which Inci Holding is a strategic investor, has made its 10th investment in Perciv AI, a Netherlands-based company developing AI-powered radar detection software for autonomous systems.
Since 2018, Vinci Venture Capital has continued to invest in automotive technologies, Industry 4.0, energy management, and storage sectors in Europe and Singapore, with its latest investment in Perciv AI.
Perciv AI, a pioneering deep tech startup specialized in AI solutions specifically developed for radar detection, has received a €2.5 million seed investment led by DayOne Capital and Keen Venture Partners, with participation from Vinci Venture Capital. This investment will bolster Perciv AI's mission to proliferate autonomous technology and enhance detection reliability and cost-effectiveness.
Perciv AI’s radar and radar-camera fusion technology offers a level of performance similar to LiDAR technology at a significantly lower cost, providing reliable and scalable detection capabilities for automotive, robotics, and aerospace applications in all conditions.
Currently in the production phase with selected business partners, Perciv AI is working to scale its AI-powered radar detection software to make autonomous technology more accessible. The company plans to use this funding to expand its operations and scale radar-based detection solutions across various sectors, including automotive, robotics, and aerospace.
An Innovative Team from TU Delft Perciv AI was founded by Balazs Szekeres, Dr. Andras Palffy, and Srimannarayana Baratam, graduates of TU Delft, one of Europe’s leading technical universities. The team combines deep technical expertise with entrepreneurial experience. The founding team consists of Balazs (CEO), an aerospace engineer with extensive experience in embedded software development, certification, and company management; Andras (CTO), who holds a PhD specializing in AI for radar systems and brings valuable entrepreneurial experience from a Berkeley-based startup acquired by Verizon; and Sriman (COO), who has a master's degree in Cognitive Robotics and a strong technical and business background, having held technical and commercial roles at one of India’s largest automotive OEMs.
