German Companies' Investment Outlook Dips - Ifo

According to the Ifo Institute, German companies sharply reduced their investment plans, with expectations dropping from 0.1 in March to -9.0 points in November. Ifo's economic expert Lara Zarges stated, "Due to high levels of uncertainty regarding structural issues and the economic policy framework, companies are holding back their investments." While economic uncertainty and structural challenges lead to hesitation, a further reduction in investments is anticipated for 2025, albeit with a milder decline of -6.6 points. This cautious outlook reflects broader concerns about Germany's economic policy framework and business environment.
