Lightning: Our Efforts to Enhance Fairness and Efficiency in Taxation Will Continue Uninterrupted

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has accelerated tax audits targeting those generating income from services such as life coaching, meditation, and mentorship, which have become widespread, particularly on social media.

In a statement regarding the issue, Minister Şimşek said, "We are expanding our audits in our fight against unregistered income. Those with discrepancies between their earnings from services offered via social media and their tax declarations are being invited to explain."

Şimşek added, "Our efforts will continue unabated in line with the principle of increasing fairness and efficiency in taxation."
