Peter Wennink to Become Chairman of Heineken's Board After His Role at ASML

Heineken NV has announced the appointment of Peter Wennink as the new chairman of its board of directors. Wennink, former CEO of ASML (AS:ASML) Holding NV, will take over from Jean-Marc Huet in April. Currently, Wennink serves as the vice chairman of Heineken's supervisory board.

The Dutch brewing giant emphasized Wennink's significant experience, which includes transforming ASML into a leading producer of advanced chip manufacturing machines and Europe’s most valuable technology company. His leadership turned ASML from a relatively unknown organization into a prominent technology powerhouse. Earlier this year, he passed the leadership to the company’s chief business officer, Christophe Fouquet.

Jean-Marc Huet will depart from his position at Heineken's annual meeting after an 11-year tenure on the supervisory board. Huet has held the chairmanship since 2019.

In addition to Wennink's appointment, Heineken has nominated Alexander de Carvalho for a supervisory board position. This nomination is viewed as a continuation of the Heineken family's involvement in the company. De Carvalho brings expertise in finance, technology, and digital transformation to the board.
