Chicken Meat Production Reaches 227,675 Tons, While Egg Production Hits 1.88 Billion Units

In October, chicken meat production reached 227,675 tons, while chicken egg production totaled 1.88 billion units. According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), comparing October of the previous year, chicken egg production increased by 2.6%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 9.5%, chicken meat production grew by 11.6%, and turkey meat production saw a 0.2% increase. From January to October, compared to the same period last year, chicken egg production increased by 4.5%, the number of slaughtered chickens rose by 7.1%, chicken meat production grew by 6.8%, and turkey meat production increased by 15.4%.

The figures in the table are calculated based on rounded numbers. Chicken meat production, which was 214,116 tons in the previous month, increased by 6.3% to 227,675 tons in October. Chicken egg production, which was 1,828,030,000 units the previous month, rose by 2.9% to 1,881,358,000 units in October.
