BIST 100 Starts the Day with a Decline: Which Stocks Made Headlines at the Opening?

The BIST 100 index started the last trading day of the week at 10,028.15 points, down by 0.30%. As the decline continued in the initial trades, the index fell below 10,000 points. In yesterday's trading, the index remained flat, closing the day at 10,058.63 points, with an intraday low of 10,026.06 and a high of 10,155.34 points. The trading volume in the BIST 100 yesterday was 85.4 billion TL, which accounted for 72.74% of the total volume.

In Borsa Istanbul, the sectors with the most significant declines at the start of the day were banks, sports, and construction. On the other hand, IT, insurance, and metal goods were among the few sectors that started the day in positive territory. The top five rising stocks in the BIST 100 during the initial trades were: PEKGY VESBE ISMEN TMSN EUPWR

Meanwhile, the stocks that started the day with declines included: ISCTR MPARK CCOLA ENJSA ENKAI

In Borsa Istanbul overall, the stocks that rose the most in the first trades were KENT, KATMR, and CEOEM, while MPARK, YONGA, and BINBN stood out as the ones that fell the most.

In the domestic foreign exchange market, the dollar/TL began the day with a 0.2% increase at 34.94. Euro/TL was traded at 36.57, while gram gold was priced at 3,013 TL, reflecting a 0.1% increase.

In international markets, European indices showed mixed performance yesterday, while US indices closed in the negative territory. Significant sell-offs were observed in Asian indices during the morning hours. Meanwhile, European and US futures are moving positively.
