Taiwan Markets Rose at Close; Taiwan Weighted Gained 0.63%

Investing.com – Taiwan's stock markets rose after Friday's close, driven by increases in the Biotechnology & Medical Treatment, Semiconductor, and Optoelectronics sectors. The Taiwan Weighted index increased by 0.63% at the close of the exchange.

Aurotek Corp (TW:6215) showed the best performance during the session, rising by 9.92% or 6.40 points to trade at 70.90. Meanwhile, Farglory Land Development Co Ltd (TW:5522) rose by 9.88% or 6.80 points to trade at 75.60, and Powertech Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3296) increased by 9.87% or 3.40 points, trading at 37.85.

The worst performer of the session was Zero One Technology Co Ltd (TW:3029), which closed down 9.94% or 17.00 points at 154.00. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) fell by 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57, while Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) lost 9.84% or 2.40 points, trading at 22.00.

The number of declining stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange was 0, while the number of gaining stocks was also 0. Aurotek Corp (TW:6215) shares reached an all-time high of 70.90, rising by 9.92% or 6.40. Powertech Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3296) shares also peaked at 37.85, increasing by 9.87% or 3.40.
