In a statement on the website of the General Directorate of Environmental Impact Assessment Permits and Inspection, the following information was provided: "The PTD file submitted to our Ministry regarding the Limestone Quarry Capacity Increase project planned by ÇİMSA ÇİMENTO SAN. VE TİC. A.Ş. in the Sucular Neighborhood of Tarsus district, MERSİN province, with license number 72926 (ER: 3062294) has been examined and evaluated. In accordance with Article 17 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulation, our Governor's Office has made the decision that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required for the Limestone Quarry Capacity Increase project with license number 72926 (ER: 3062294)."
