Lightning: We Expect the Current Account Deficit to Remain Below 1% of GDP in 2024

Forex - The Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, stated that they expect the current account deficit as a percentage of national income to remain below 1% in 2024.
In a statement made on his X account, Şimşek recalled that in October, the annual current account deficit decreased to $7.7 billion, down approximately $48 billion compared to May 2023.
Şimşek said, "We expect the current account deficit as a percentage of national income to remain below 1% in 2024. To make this improvement permanent, we will continue to implement our policies aimed at increasing our domestic and renewable energy capacity and value-added production."
