IfW Kiel Predicts Economic Slowdown for Germany in 2025
Foreks - The IfW Kiel Institute for the World Economy stated that the German economy is expected to stagnate next year after contracting for two consecutive years. The institute had predicted in September that growth would be 0.5% in 2025. In its economic report, it stated, “The German economy cannot escape recession. There are almost no signs of a visible economic recovery.” IfW Kiel also revised its growth forecast for 2026 from 1.1% to 0.9%.
