Malaysia's Rubber Production and Exports on the Rise
Foreks - Malaysia, the world's largest natural rubber producer, saw a rebound in production in October after three consecutive months of decline. According to data released by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), rubber production increased by 20.6% in October compared to the previous month, reaching 38,400 tons. The production in the previous month was recorded at 31,847 tons.
Furthermore, this production level was 16.6% higher compared to 32,944 tons observed in October of the previous year.
Rubber exports also rose by 20.6% on a monthly basis, climbing from 39,930 tons to 48,151 tons. China accounted for 43.2% of the export share, followed by Germany with 9.8% and the UAE with 9.2%.
Consequently, stock levels increased by 1.9%, rising from 132,391 tons to 134,844 tons.
