Tesla Shares Soar 6%, Closing at Record High
On Wall Street, Tesla shares closed at a record level, surpassing the peak reached in 2021, following Donald Trump's election victory on November 5. Tesla shares ended the day at 4,724.77, exceeding the previous record of $409.97 set on November 4, 2021, by 15%.
After gaining 6% yesterday, Tesla shares have risen 71% since the beginning of the year, with nearly the entire increase occurring after Trump's electoral win. Since that victory, Tesla stock has surged by 69%.
On Wednesday, Goldman Sachs analysts raised their price targets for Tesla, joining firms that have increased their price expectations or ratings for the stock. Goldman analysts noted, "the market is adopting a more forward-looking approach to Tesla, including opportunities in artificial intelligence." Recent bullish reports have also been published by analysts from Morgan Stanley and Bank of America.
