JetBlue to Introduce First-Class Sections on Domestic Flights by 2026
JetBlue Airways Corp. has announced plans to add a first-class section to its domestic aircraft fleet starting in 2026. This development is part of a broader restructuring strategy following the unsuccessful merger attempts with two other airlines blocked by U.S. courts. Existing aircraft without the airline's Mint premium product will be reconfigured to include a first-class cabin. According to the company’s announcement on Wednesday, Airbus A320 family aircraft will be configured with three rows of first-class seats, while smaller Airbus A220s will feature two rows of first-class seating. The new first-class sections will offer passengers a two-row seating arrangement for two people in the front of the aircraft. JetBlue stated that additional details about its first-class service offerings will be announced at a later date. The decision to upgrade the fleet with first-class cabins is a response to growing consumer demand for premium travel options. JetBlue emphasized that interest in high-end travel experiences is "stronger than ever."
