Bolat Attends the 29th Session of the Turkey-Iran Joint Economic Commission

Forex - Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat stated that he participated in the 29th Term Meeting of the Turkey-Iran Joint Economic Commission along with the Co-Chair of the Iran Joint Economic Commission and Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mr. Farzaneh Sadegh Malvajerd, discussing the relations between the two countries.

In a statement made via X, Bolat said the following:

"During the meeting, we addressed the diversification of our cooperation to reach the bilateral trade volume target of $30 billion that we have set as two countries, the update of the Turkey-Iran Preferential Trade Agreement, and the resolution of existing issues.

Within the framework of the meeting, we signed the Joint Economic Commission Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum encompasses all areas of cooperation between our countries, ranging from trade and mutual investments to industry, culture, tourism, transportation, and agriculture, and serves as a roadmap for the upcoming period.

As Turkey, we place great importance on developing our bilateral relations with a win-win perspective and fostering the formation of new commercial collaborations. In this context, our companies are ready to take a more active role in infrastructure and superstructure projects in Iran."
