Construction Cost Index Rose by 37.94% Year-on-Year in October
In October 2024, the construction cost index increased by 1.48% compared to the previous month and by 37.94% compared to the same month last year. According to the announcement, the materials index rose by 1.73% month-on-month, and the labor index increased by 0.98%. Additionally, compared to the same month of the previous year, the materials index increased by 30.67% and the labor index rose by 55.62%.
For the building construction cost index, there was an annual increase of 39.06% and a monthly increase of 1.33%. Compared to the previous month, the index increased by 1.33% and by 39.06% relative to the same month last year. The materials index rose by 1.52% month-on-month, while the labor index increased by 0.96%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the materials index increased by 32.29% and the labor index by 54.69%.
For non-building structures, the construction cost index saw an annual rise of 34.43% and a monthly increase of 1.96%. The index increased by 1.96% compared to the previous month and by 34.43% compared to the same month last year. The materials index rose by 2.38% month-on-month, and the labor index increased by 1.04%. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the materials index increased by 25.85% and the labor index by 59.04%.
