Controlmatik Secures Major Deal Abroad
Kontrolmatik Technology Energy and Engineering Inc. (KONTR), in collaboration with Joule Global Energy Inc., in which it holds a 51% stake, has initiated an innovative energy transformation project in Germany. The company has signed a contract worth €9,333,439.48 with its client in Germany to execute the mechanical assembly of the gas turbine, generator package, steam turbine, and equipment for a 600 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant.
This project represents a significant energy transformation initiative aimed at converting an existing coal plant in Germany into a natural gas plant, with a long-term goal of transitioning to a power generation facility that operates on green hydrogen. The plant is expected to reach a total electricity generation capacity of 1,300 MW and will operate at two separate plant sites. This capacity is projected to be sufficient to provide energy for approximately 2.4 million German households, as the facility is designed to function as an intermediate load power plant.
Green transformation and sustainable future The project holds substantial importance within the framework of the carbon reduction targets established by the European Union and Germany for 2050. The plant project aims to boost energy efficiency, sustainability, and the use of renewable energy by promoting district heating, thus contributing to essential goals such as reducing fossil fuel reliance. Kontrolmatik expressed pride in its contributions to sustainable energy solutions through this project and stated that it is swiftly advancing its efforts to successfully implement the project.
The plant is aimed not only at electricity generation but also at achieving significant gains in environmental sustainability. Projects of this nature will be among the steps expected to provide environmental and economic benefits to both the country and the region as part of Germany's energy transformation policies.
