Chinese Premier Li Qiang has pledged that Beijing will do everything possible to boost domestic consumption in order to support the country's economic growth. According to reports, Li stated during a meeting in Beijing on Monday with the heads of 10 international economic organizations, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, that China will strengthen counter-cyclical measures and expedite the implementation of macroeconomic policies to support the economy.

Chinese Vice Finance Minister Liao Min noted that the heads of international organizations expressed concerns that divergence could harm the global economy. Despite the participants acknowledging the slowdown of the Chinese economy, he stated that they believe there is ample room for macroeconomic policies to address these concerns.
