Uraloğlu Announces Simultaneous Takeoffs and Landings on Three Runways at Istanbul Airport Starting April 17th

Forex - The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, announced that on April 17, they will initiate simultaneous landings and takeoffs on three runways at Istanbul Airport. Operationally Related Delays Will Be Minimized

Stating that the works are being carried out within the State Airports Authority (DHMİ), Minister Uraloğlu indicated that with the new application, simultaneous landings and takeoffs from the three runways will be possible, providing effective and dynamic capacity management at Istanbul Airport. Uraloğlu expressed, “This will also minimize operationally related delays. In addition, we will maximize fuel savings and flight efficiency. The works will also include the new runways, which are still under construction. With the commissioning of the new runways, the efficiency of air traffic operations will improve in many areas, especially taxi times.”
