Volkswagen/Meiswinkel: We Still Need to Reduce Costs and Address Excess Capacity

Volkswagen's chief negotiator Arne Meiswinkel stated that after the company rejected an offer put forth by the unions, which it found unsustainable, both the unions and management need to find alternative solutions for the factories in Germany. Speaking ahead of the fourth round of negotiations between the company and worker representatives, Meiswinkel said, "We still need to reduce costs and decrease excess capacity."
